At 4D Herbs, we prioritize the freshness and quality of our sea moss gel, particularly during warmer months. Naturally, the gel is viable and fresh when unrefrigerated for up to 2-3 weeks and frozen up to 6 months. To preserve its quality during transport in warm and hot conditions, we freeze the sea moss gel beforehand and pack it with specialized temperature-controlling materials. These materials are designed to maintain optimal temperature during shipping, significantly reducing the gel's exposure to excessive heat and the likelihood of spoilage.
Ensure you immediately store your sea moss gel in the refrigerator upon receiving it, and let it chill for a minimum of 12 hours before opening or using it, especially during the warmer months.
We do not ship sea moss gel to PO BOX addresses.
**Please be aware, it is not realistic to expect your sea moss gel to arrive cold or cool during hot weather seasons.** Our shipping practices are crafted to mitigate the effects of warm temperatures, but they cannot replicate the conditions of refrigeration.
We do not offer refunds or replacements for sea moss gel that arrives warm, as we limit our shipping to within the United States to ensure transit times average between 1-4 days. Our strategic preparation and shipping methods are intended to ensure your sea moss gel remains fresh during its journey, provided it arrives within the normal delivery window. If concerns about the temperature sensitivity of the product during transit discourage you, we suggest refraining from purchasing sea moss gel in warmer months.
Refunds or replacements will not be issued based on the product arriving warm or if dissatisfaction arises from the natural scent of sea moss, as scent and taste are subjective. Upon receipt, we recommend refrigerating your sea moss gel for at least 12 hours before opening or consuming, especially during the hotter seasons.
STORAGE: If you choose to freeze your gel, you must freeze it in a freezer safe container. Use a zip-lock freezer bag or a freezer safe container such as Tupperware. DO NOT freeze glass with contents inside as the contents expand when frozen and shatter the glass. We do not replace jars that you've chosen to freeze and they break. You don't see glass in the frozen food section of a grocery store because of the risk of the glass breaking.
We adjust our shipping schedule to ensure the optimal arrival of your packages, operating from Monday through Wednesday during the summer months to avoid the heat. In cooler seasons, we extend our shipping days to include Monday through Thursday. This strategy helps prevent packages from lingering in transit over the weekend, particularly in warmer temperatures. Our commitment is to deliver the freshest gel possible, which is why each order is prepared on the same day it's dispatched. To accommodate this level of freshness and quality, we ask for a processing period of 3-5 business days. For shipping, we use UPS and package our gel with cold packs to preserve its freshness.
